Hi to all of you! I am Dr. Vikas, Piercing Zone's owner and operator at Piercing Zone by Dr Vikas, a body piercer with more than 14 years of experience.
Having worked in the medical field for many years, I saw that there was a need for an alternative to the typical body piercing procedure and discovered my passion for body piercings.
Having a thorough understanding of the anatomy of the body and how a foreign metal may react to piercing is beneficial.
For piercings, we prefer to use medical-grade titanium G23 or 14k gold since they don't react with bodily fluids throughout the healing process and can be worn for as long as you like.
Procedure for Piercing
Whether you are getting your first piercing or adding more, our stylists will discuss your vision with you and provide recommendations and recommendations at the beginning of your consultation. After applying a potent numbing cream, you will relax for 20 minutes to allow the cream to take effect. From there, our piercers use your anatomy to precisely measure the length and angle of your new piece. A pen is used to mark this location. Our piercers prepare the skin with antiseptic before performing their delicate work. After the needle is positioned, we ask that you make sure you are comfortable by taking a few deep, calming breaths. The installation and piercing go quickly, and we guarantee you'll be done soon.
Positioning and Angles
The location and hanging position of the jewelry are taken into consideration by our piercers, who base their work on the individual anatomy of each client. Since we know which jewelry will fit best and be appropriate for the healing process, it is highly recommended that you pay attention to the piercer's suggestions.
The Way We Pierce
We prefer to utilize single-use needles for piercings. A sewing needle is not the same as a piercing needle. These are long, hollow needles available in a range of gauges (thicknesses) to enable safe and effective piercing procedures.
It may surprise you to learn that piercings done with needles will hurt significantly less than those done with guns. Piercings with needles are more accurate and precise. By creating a tiny opening in the ear tissue, needles help to reduce nearby edema and scarring.
Since they won't stay in place for the needle procedure, we also do single-use gun piercings on young children under the age of five.
Procedure for Sterilization
Every item and instrument we use is cleaned using an ultrasonic cleaner and then sterilized using a high-dry heat unit. Every tool is used just once, and we use sterile, individual tools for each customer. For each customer, your piercer will wear a fresh pair of surgical gloves and a mask.
